We try to select across a multitude of fragrance categories (perfume, candles, and skincare).  Here's what we were looking for:

Look for fragrances built around floral notes like jasmine, peony, orange blossom, or rose; green and botanical notes such as fresh-cut grass, fig leaf, or herbs; and citrus accords like bergamot, lemon, or grapefruit that add brightness and energy. Spring is also an ideal time to explore soft fruity or aquatic elements that feel clean and effortless for daytime wear. In general, the best spring fragrances strike a balance: noticeable and elegant, yet light enough to feel refreshing as the days grow warmer.
